So here’s how the Mayan Calendar really came to predict the end of the world.  And being such an advanced civilization, they invented the first Y2k problem as well.  Jeez, now we’re going to have to go through the whole Y2k problem all over again.  In 2012.

And then the worlds is going to end.  Again.  This time on December 21, 2012 – the winter solstice.
